These Davis Materials Calculators will help you to estimate the amount of Hot Mix Asphalt
or Tack Oil/Emulsion that you will need for your jobs. The Tack Oil/Emulsion calculator
is for your convenience only. We do not carry any Tack Oil or Emulsion.
We also have a Gradation Chart to help you with your selection

NOTE! These calculators require a JavaScript-enabled browser

To use the Hot Mix Asphalt Calculator:
  • Enter the width, length, and thickness of your paving job
  • Click on the Calculate button

The calculator will estimate the number of tons of hot mix that will be required. This estimate is based on a density of 150 lbs per cubic foot. Please note that densities will vary somewhat between different mixes, but this value is a standard for estimating.

The reason hot mix gradation is shown as a range is because you can design your mixes to be coarse or fine depending on your requirements. The more passing the finer the mix. The same with the Asphalt Cement content. The finer the gradation the more A.C. will be required.
